Addressing a press conference through a video link from Canada, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has announced the schedule of his return. He said that he would reach Lahore on the morning of June 15 and lead the sit-in on The Mall on June 17 to demand justice for martyrs of Model Town tragedy. He said that he is guarantor of peaceful protest and peaceful sit-in, adding that the government should refrain from its highhanded tactics. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, senior leader of PAT and Chairman of MQI Supreme Council, visited the hunger strike camp of Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) yesterday and held a meeting with MWM leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas. Expressing his complete solidarity with the MWM workers, he said that the only agenda of the rulers is to loot the country. A delegation of PAT led by senior leader Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri called on former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani at his residence in Lahore and congratulated him on behalf of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and the party on the safe return of his abducted son. Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Khawaja Amir Fareed Koreja, Noorullah Saddiqi, Fayyaz Warraich, Raja Zahid, and Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam were other members of the delegation. Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and his son Ali Haider Gillani thanked the PAT leaders for coming to visit them. Pakistan Awami Tehreek has decided to stage a sit-in on June 17 at the Mall Road Lahore. PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will lead the sit-in. Announcement to this effect was made by PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur while addressing a press conference at the central secretariat here in Lahore on May 26 along with other members of the Core Committee.
