Impeachment process to be initiated against PM: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the Panama leaks are not a conspiracy against anyone. He said that Allah Almighty has unmasked the faces of the looters. He asked the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of the leakage and initiate the impeachment process forcibly. He said that the Supreme Court has already disqualified one PM in a contempt of court case, adding that the people of Pakistan should take a cue from their counterparts in Iceland and take to streets against the biggest scam of history. read more...

PAT takes out protest in front of Punjab Assembly in wake of Panama Papers

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) held a demonstration in front of the Punjab Assembly building to register its protest in the aftermath of the Panama scandal. The participants of the demonstration demanded of the Prime Minister to tender his resignation and establishment of the judicial commission under the Chief Justice of Pakistan. Addressing Workers Convention and Peace Conference in Muzaffargarh, senior PAT leader Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the budget of 35 districts of Punjab is being spent on decoration and beautification of a few roads in Lahore and the people belonging to South Punjab are left to drown in annual flood that is their fate each time monsoon strikes. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s special message on Pakistan Day

In his special message on 23rd of March being celebrated today across the country, PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that corruption and terrorism have defaced Pakistan of the Quaid-e-Azam. He said that the labourers, workers, farmers, clerks, peasants and downtrodden sections of society for whom Pakistan came into being have been compelled to resort to protests and suicides due to rampant poverty and starvation. Pakistan & India should follow principle of ‘live and let live’: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on Monday called for ‘Live and Let Live’ policy to reduce apprehensions between India and Pakistan. Dr Qadri, who is on a visit to participate in a International Sufi conference in India, said there should be a transparent and open discussion between the two countries on issues like Kashmir, Pathankot attack, Mumbai attacks or involvement of India in terrorism in Balochistan and Sindh. read more...

Right to Fair Trial under Article 10-A being violated with abandon: PAT

Addressing a hurriedly called press conference at the Lahore Press Club, central PAT leaders along with the team of lawyers engaged in fighting Model Town case have said that the Punjab Government is murdering justice by not holding fair trial under Article 10-A of the Constitution after formation of the highly questionable JIT. They said that there is no difference in the behaviour of the police, JIT and the anti-terrorism court.
