In his reaction to the Prime Minister’s address to the nation, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that revelations made by the Panama papers are proven and there is no need for further investigation. He said that the Commission will not produce any result, adding that the whole nation has been rendered clueless once again. He said that the Prime Minister did not address the nation but cracked joke with it. PAT workers hold demonstration before anti-terrorism court

The PAT workers held a peaceful demonstration before the anti-terrorism court demanding justice in the Model Town case. They chanted ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans. The demonstration led by Hafiz Ghulam Farid was attended by a large number of women. PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has welcomed the Army Chief’s statement in which he stated that across the board accountability is necessary to break the nexus of the corruption and power. He said that time has come that the targeted operation is carried out against abettors and facilitators of the terrorists. He said that life of people remains at the mercy of the terrorists and their property at the mercy of looters and plunderers. He said that the Operation Zarb-e-Ghazab against the corrupt elements has become inevitable like the Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists. He said that the corrupt ruling elite is facilitator of each other and the biggest of the abettors and facilitators have held meetings in London. Addressing the demonstration, Ch Fayyaz Warraich said that the Panama papers have exposed the ruling family. He said that manifest proofs of corruption have come to the fore. He said that corruption and money laundering are economic terrorism. He said that the Panama leaks are no joke and their authenticity is accepted at the international level. Addressing a heavily crowded press conference, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the Sharif family is the owner of hundreds of offshore companies. He said that in order to make them cough out money and speak the truth, they should be deposed and put behind the bars. He said that the facts revealed so far by the Panama leaks are sufficient to punish them. PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the Panama leaks are not a conspiracy against anyone. He said that Allah Almighty has unmasked the faces of the looters. He asked the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of the leakage and initiate the impeachment process forcibly. Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) held a demonstration in front of the Punjab Assembly building to register its protest in the aftermath of the Panama scandal. The participants of the demonstration demanded of the Prime Minister to tender his resignation and establishment of the judicial commission under the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
