Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri arrives in Pakistan

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri arrives in Lahore, Pakistan on Monday morning (today) after a gap of seven months. He was received by large number of his supporters and activist at Allama Iqbal International Airport. Qadri arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore at 8:00 am where his workers were ready to welcome him. PAT chief had already rejected the Punjab Policy security who offered eight Elite Forces vehicles to guard Qadri, so his party workers escorted him under high security to his residence in Model Town. read more...

PAT Chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri will return to Pakistan on Monday morning (tomorrow). According to details, PAT Chief will arrive at Lahore at 7:20am, where he will be escorted him to his residence in Model Town by his party workers. He recently launched a anti-terrorism curriculum in United Kingdom’s capital London, to denounce the message of extremism which is being spread by militant groups such as Islamic State (IS) and stop the youth from being brainwashed and joined the terrorist groups. read more...

The world’s leading Islamic scholar on countering the ideology of Isis today suggest that British Muslims hold a mass march for peace to publicly demonstrate that they do not “quietly condone” terrorism. Opposition parties stage joint demonstration against load-shedding

The opposition parties staged a joint demonstration in front of the Lahore Press Club to protest load-shedding on June 26 (Friday). The participants of the demonstration chanted slogans against the government over its failure to manage power crisis in the country. Speaking to the participants, Dr Raheeq Abbasi said that the people have taken to the streets against the killer government having a fake political mandate. He said that after the Model Town tragedy, the rulers are responsible for 1300 deaths in Karachi as well. read more...

Scholar to launch counterterrorism curriculum in UK

Five years after he grabbed headlines globally with his acclaimed 2010 book "Fatwa on Terrorism and Suicide Bombings", noted Islamic scholar Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has come out what he calls "first" Islamic counter-terrorism curriculum. Targeted at school and university students, imams and clerics initially across the UK and Pakistan and to be launched in London on Tuesday, Dr Qadri said the curriculum is part of the campaign to dissuade vulnerable teenagers from travelling to Iraq and Syria to join the jihadist outfit ISIS. read more...
