PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the government is deceiving people on the issue of terrorism. He said that funds have continued to be received from abroad in the name of elimination of terrorism and the past governments were also involved in this practice. He said that the French President and the whole cabinet led a rally of four million people against terrorism, asking when the honour of Pakistan’s Prime Minister will wake. PAT central president Dr Raheeq Abbasi said that concept of ‘Jihad’ had been wrongly interpreted and the misguided elements were following a mindset, which had weakened the roots of the country, besides bringing a bad name to Islam and Pakistan. LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) central president Dr Raheeq Abbasi on Friday said that the taxi schemes won’t end the prevailing unemployment in Punjab. He said the unemployment will be curbed by strengthening the agriculture and industrial sectors. Abbasi said Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif should resume hiring on vacated seats in the government sectors if he is serious in curbing the unemployment. read more...
Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) did not end its sit-in at Islamabad but rather it temporarily suspended it, a spokesman for Dr Tahirul Qadri said in a press release on Friday. The spokesman accused federal and Punjab governments for harassing the PAT leadership, including Dr Qadri by forcing police to register false FIR against Qadri and other leaders. PAKISTAN Awami Tehreek (PAT) President Dr Raheeq Abbasi welcomed the 21st constitutional amendment for establishing the military courts for speedy trial of terrorists and reminded that Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri was the first proponent of military courts in his 14-point agenda for eradication of extremism. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the terrorists massacred schoolchildren in Peshawar and innocent people were killed in Model Town through state terrorism. He said that the holy Prophet (PBUH) forbade killing of women, asking with what face will those who killed women in Model Town present themselves before the Prophet (PBUH)?
