BHAKKAR: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) head Allama Tahir-ul Qadri said that he was launching his political battle from the upcoming by-election in Bhakkar. Addressing tens of thousands of supporters here on Sunday, Qadri called upon the people of Bhakkar to vote his candidate in the by-election. “We are launching our revolutionary struggle through electoral politics from Bhakkar. This struggle is a war for the country’s poor,” he said. Addressing the PAT gathering in Bhakkar on Sunday, Dr Tahirul Qadri said that terrorism and sectarianism will be eliminated from Pakistan under PAT rule. “Poor will get health facilities free of cost. Discrimination against women will end. Poor farmers will be given 10 acres of cultivable land absolutely free. Entrepreneurs will be given small loans. Disparity between salaries will be minimized. Free houses will be provided to the homeless. House loans for 25 years will be provided. Petroleum products’ prices will be brought down,” said Qadri. read more...

PAT to hold public meeting in Bhakkar today

BHAKKAR (Dunya News) - Pakistan Awaami Tehreek (PAT) is all ready to lead a public meeting at Jameel Stadium in Bhakkar today (Sunday). According to details, 12 feet high stage has been made for the Chief of PAT Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri and party officials. More than 20,000 chairs have been set up for the participants of the rally. LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Allama Tahirul Qadri on Saturday said Patiala House report has been prepared in the name of Judicial Investigation Team (JIT) report, which only awaits a sign off now. PAT to hold rally in Bhakkar tomorrow

BHAKKAR: All arrangements have been finalized as Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) would hold a public gathering at Jamil Stadium in Bhakkar tomorrow (Sunday). PAT workers will take responsibility for security of the rally venue and the stage. According to District Police Officer (DPO) Shakir Hussain, a security plan has been prepared under which more than 700 police personnel would be deployed. LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Tahirul Qadri Saturday again rejected the government-formed Judicial Investigation Team (JIT) to probe Model Town incident dubbing it as a 'Patiala House Plan'. Talking to media before his departure to Bhakkar for a public rally later today, he demanded the formation of new a JIT that should include members from prestigious intelligence agencies and police official from KPK province. LAHORE - Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, who was accorded a warm welcome by his party leaders and supporters on his return from the three-week foreign visit on Thursday morning, has said that he was willing to surrender to police if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were arrested on account of their involvement in the Model Town killings. He was speaking at a news conference at his residence.
