LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri alleged that the plan for constituting the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the Model Town killings was chalked out in Patiala House. “A rehearsal was performed by staging a complete set at Patiala House to record the statements,’ Dr Qadri alleged while talking to media representatives here at his residence prior to his departure for Bhakkar. Qadri says won’t cooperate with JIT

LONDON: Dr Tahirul Qadri, chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), said Wednesday that his party would not cooperate with the joint investigation team that is probing Model Town incident. Talking to media here, Qadri said none of his party members would testify as witness before the JIT. “The government has a speck in its beard, that’s why it is not making public the investigation report prepared earlier,” he commented. LONDON: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri on Wednesday rejected the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed by the Punjab government to investigate Model Town incident, saying that JIT comprising ‘killers’ was not acceptable to them. However, before this team starts work on Wednesday, the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has rejected it. LONDON: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr Tahirul Qadri Tuesday said the Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif should play his role in the Model Town case. “We are not demanding anything that can be labeled as undemocratic; we want justice,” said Tahirul Qadri while talking to media representatives here. He said his party did not accept the inclusion of the Punjab policemen in the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) tasked to probe the Model Town tragedy.
