Dr Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri arrived in Lahore, Pakistan, on Monday morning. He was received by a throng of supporters and activists at Allama Iqbal International Airport. The PAT chief arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore at 8:00 am where the party’s Lahore chapter gave a rousing reception to him. The PAT chief had rejected the Punjab policy security who offered eight Elite Force vehicles to guard Dr Qadri, so his party workers escorted him under high security to his residence in Model Town. read more...

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri arrives in Lahore, Pakistan on Monday morning (today) after a gap of seven months. He was received by large number of his supporters and activist at Allama Iqbal International Airport. Qadri arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore at 8:00 am where his workers were ready to welcome him. PAT Chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri will return to Pakistan on Monday morning (tomorrow). According to details, PAT Chief will arrive at Lahore at 7:20am, where he will be escorted him to his residence in Model Town by his party workers. Opposition parties stage joint demonstration against load-shedding

The opposition parties staged a joint demonstration in front of the Lahore Press Club to protest load-shedding on June 26 (Friday). The participants of the demonstration chanted slogans against the government over its failure to manage power crisis in the country. Speaking to the participants, Dr Raheeq Abbasi said that the people have taken to the streets against the killer government having a fake political mandate. Five years after he grabbed headlines globally with his acclaimed 2010 book "Fatwa on Terrorism and Suicide Bombings", noted Islamic scholar Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has come out what he calls "first" Islamic counter-terrorism curriculum. Targeted at school and university students, imams and clerics initially across the UK and Pakistan and to be launched in London on Tuesday, Dr Qadri said the curriculum is part of the campaign to dissuade vulnerable teenagers from travelling to Iraq and Syria to join the jihadist outfit ISIS. read more...
