Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that nations faced such terminal challenges only when they broke with ideology of their founding fathers. He said that it was unfortunate that the teachings of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal had become alien in a country which was founded on his vision. Pakistan Awami Tehreek Lahore has announced the names of its candidates for elections in cantonment boards. The candidates will contest elections on the symbol of ‘bucket’. The electoral manifesto titled ‘cleanliness is half of the faith and every street is lit’ has also been prepared. The party will enter into seat adjustment with the like-minded parties in areas where it would not field its candidates. A five-member committee has been constituted for this purpose. read more...

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the workers gave matchless sacrifices for revolution, adding that he is proud of their sacrifices. He said that we are not struggling for power but for restoration of constitutional rights of 180 million people who remain mired in multiple crises. Its purpose was to educate and motivate the conveners, and discuss how PAT UK can move forward to propagate the party’s message in the current political scenario. Several activities and talks by senior colleagues from other forums made this workshop a huge success. Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, President Pakistan Awami Tehreek, also addressed the conveners via telephone.
