As I look back, there is a parallel theme to my four-and-a-half years at war: love. By that I mean love – there is no other word for it – I came to feel for the troops, and the overwhelming sense of personal responsibility I developed for them. Rawalpindi: Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) has sought permission for holding a public gathering on Sunday at Airport Road in Rawalpindi to welcome its chief, Tahir-ul-Qadri. For security, District Coordination Officer (DCO) of Rawalpindi was requested to tighten the security by asking people for walk through gates, metal detectors and huge number of police personnel.
