In his special message on 23rd of March being celebrated today across the country, PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that corruption and terrorism have defaced Pakistan of the Quaid-e-Azam. He said that the labourers, workers, farmers, clerks, peasants and downtrodden sections of society for whom Pakistan came into being have been compelled to resort to protests and suicides due to rampant poverty and starvation. read more...
In the wake of PAT chief Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s decision to activate overseas chapters of PAT, a prestigious ceremony of oath-taking was held under the banner of PAT (Spain) in Barcelona on March 14. Addressing the ceremony, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi said that the ruling elite have broken all past records of corruption and malpractices. He said that the country is being pushed into blind alley with no light at the end of tunnel. A seminar against terrorism and suicide bombing was held in Nelson Lancashire under the banner of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (UK) which was attended by over 200 participants belonging to various walks of life and local community including local police officials and members of Parliament. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of MQI Supreme Council, has said that the youth are future of Pakistan. He asked the youth to spend their energies on education and research, adding that one could fight off extremist attitudes by taking part in healthy extra-curriculum activities. PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that the Punjab government has started a negative campaign to get the judicial commission on Model Town killings declared as illegal. He said that if the commission is declared as illegal, then action should be taken against those who requested its formation and those who approved it.
