Shaykh-ul-Islam threw light on the status and spiritual excellence of the Friends of Allah with the help of references from the Holy Quran and Hadith. He said that some people thought that according to the Holy Quran, “Only the pious were the Friends of Allah”. The people have misconstrued the meaning of this verse of the Holy Quran, believing that every pious person was the friend of Allah and those called ‘Aula-e-Allah’ were not the special people.
