Dr Qadri wants two-thirds majority to change system
BHAKKAR: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday claimed that the investigation report into the Model Town killings had held the government responsible but the review committee gave it a clean chit. Addressing a rally at the Jamil Stadium here, Qadri said he would unite the Sunni and Shia sects and change the system if the people gave him a two-thirds majority.He introduced Nazar Abbas as his candidate for the Nov 29 by-polls in PP-48, Darya Khan. Referring to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the PAT chief said he wanted to make a Hussaini society. “Our first test is the upcoming by-election in Darya Khan on Nov 29,” he remarked. read more...
