A special memorial seminar was held in the Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on March 31, 2008 at the occasion of second death anniversary of Shaheed Tanvir Ahmad Qureshi. This seminar was organized in the newly built hall of Goush-a-Durood. Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Member Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, chaired the event, while brother of Shaheed Tanvir Ahmad Qureshi, Naveed Ahmad was the guest of honour at the occasion. Amir-e-Tehreek Miskin Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani, Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Naib Nazim-e-Ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Amir e Punjab Ahmad Nawaz Anjum and Tanvir Ahmad Khan were among the prominent guests. read more...
The Mawlid un Nabi Conference 2008 took place in Idara Minhaj Ul Quran, Valby in Copenhagen on the 20th March 2008. MQI scholars and other guests presided over the event, while Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees (Markazi Nazim DAwat of TMQ) was invited as guest speaker. Pakistan Awami Tehreek organized "Tahaffuz-e-Pakistan" Seminar in the Lahore Press Club on March 24, 2008. PAT President Sahibzada Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani chaired the seminar, whereas President Supreme Council of MQI Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Nazim-e-Ala MQI Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi were the guests of honour at the occasion. "Namoos-e-Risalat Convention" under the auspicious of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was held on March 2, 2008 in the Minhaj-ul-Quran Park opposite to the Central Secretariat. Organized as an expression of protest against the blasphemous publication of caricatures of the Holy Prophet (saw), the Convention was presided over by Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, the member of Minhaj-ul-Quran Supreme Council. Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Naib Nazim-e-Ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Secretary General PAT Anwar Akhtar Advocate, Amir-e-Punjab Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, central leader of PAT Chaudhry Muhammad Sahirf, G.M. Malik, Allama Ali Ghazanfer Kararvi, Allama Irshad Hussain Saeedi, Sohail Ahmad Raza, Allama Shahid Lateef Qadri, Allama Haji Imdadulla Khan, Sajid Mahmood Bhatti and other leaders of MQI were also present at the occasion. Alhamdulillahi Taala on Wednesday 16th May 2007, Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson held a Mosque Open Day for the general public as well as members of the council. The event was the first of its kind in the Pendle area to build meaningful bridges between diverse communities, improving dialogue and understanding. The project was part of an ongoing series of community cohesion events and included exhibitions and presentations from Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI), Minhaj Welfare Foundation UK (MWF), East Lancs Community Action Projects (ELCAP), Pendle Community Radio (PCR) and Thinkers Forum UK, who also sponsored the event. read more...
