Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri rejects imposition of Article 245 in Islamabad

PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has rejected the government’s decision of handing Islamabad over to the army under Article 245 of the Constitution. He said that given the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb in KPK, there was a need of invoking Article 245 there to protect people’s lives and properties. He said that dozens of people had been getting killed on daily basis in Karachi and target killing had been underway there for a very long time, adding that law and order situation in Karachi necessitated the imposition of Article 245. read more...

PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the government has held the future of our coming generation hostage by securing loan commitments of whopping $52 billion in the first 9 month of its power. He said that the incompetent government had also got a domestic loan of Rs. 12000 billion from local banks. He said that all governments that came into power took a total loan of $59 billion from 1985 to 2013, while the present rulers got the double of it during the first year in office thereby further making each citizen indebted to the tune of Rs. 0.2 million. read more...

Qadri denounces Gujrat arms chopping of a 10 years child

LAHORE: Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr Tahir ul Qadri has declared the chopping off the arms of a 10 years child in Gujrat an extremely shameful and inhuman act – ARY News reports. According to details, Tahir ul Qadri held a telephonic conversation with the father of the victim and condemned the barbaric incident in strongest of the words. He said that such incidents are a stigma on the face of society and declared the exploitative system of the state to be responsible for such events. LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that he opposes martial law in Pakistan and his revolution has no room for military intervention in the country, ARY News reports.
