Qadri says govt not capable of dealing with terrorism

LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahir-ul-Qadri on Saturday called for anti-terrorism courts to be abolished. He was speaking to reporters at the party’s Model Town secretariat via video-link from Houston. Qadri said the courts should be replaced by military tribunals tasked with hearing terrorism cases and convicting suspects. LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri says 1,100 released terrorists caused bloodshed in Pakistan after reuniting with their accomplices, suggesting terrorism cases be decided by military courts within 15 days. “I just ask who is actually responsible for bloodshed in Pakistan caused by as many as 1,100 terrorists who were released in the past and restarted their terrorism activities,” Mr Qadri said while responding to media queries through a video-link from a hospital of Huston (United States) where he is admitted these days for medical treatment. read more...

LAHORE - Pakistan Awami Tehreek will hold protest rallies in 60 cities on Sunday against terrorism and to express solidarity with the families of Peshawar school victims.
