PAKISTAN Awami Tehreek (PAT) President Dr Raheeq Abbasi welcomed the 21st constitutional amendment for establishing the military courts for speedy trial of terrorists and reminded that Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri was the first proponent of military courts in his 14-point agenda for eradication of extremism. Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said military courts were the need of the hour, adding if anti-terrorism courts had performed judiciously and without any political vendetta, the military courts would have not been required. read more...

The main aim of the event was to highlight the ever growing concern of extreme poverty in the UK. PAT starts working on anti-terrorism subject syllabus

Islamabad - Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has constituted a committee that has started preparing syllabus on anti-terrorism subject. PAT Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has constituted a 5-member committee under Rahiq Abbasi which will work out recommendations on syllabus for the general public, students of colleges and universities, armed forces, teachers, religious scholars and media within 15 days. read more...

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri presents 14-point anti-terror strategy

The Chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr Tahirul Qadri has written a letter to the Chief of the Army Staff, the Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence, the DG Military Intelligence, Joint Chief of the Staff Committee, the President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, all the chief ministers, governors, foreign ministry and interior ministry suggesting measures for the elimination and control of terrorism. The Letter has been released by PAT Central President Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi. The letter suggests different ways and measures to check the root cause of the rise of terrorism in the country and gives a clear guideline to end this menace once and for all. read more...
