PAT (Gujranwala) holds rally to express solidarity with armed forces

Addressing the participants of the rally, PAT leader Sajid Mahmood Bhatti said that talks with the militants would prove to be a big failure. He said that ideology of one sect and their self-styled interpretation of Islam would not be acceptable to the people of Pakistan. He said that Pakistan came into being as a result of efforts of the saints and it was by acting upon their teachings that peace could be restored in the troubled country. He said that terrorists were trying to create a gulf between the armed forces and the people under a conspiracy but added in the same breath that they could not succeed in their nefarious designs. PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that if the state enters into a dialogue with the terrorists on the basis of equality, it will be incompetence and failure of the government. He said that if the terrorists laid down their arms first, adopted peaceful path and put forward demands in the form of dialogue, it was responsibility of the government to listen to them. PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Pakistan is entering an important phase in terms of its existence. He said that the rulers were buying big public sector enterprises in the name of privatization from behind the scene, adding that the PML-N government, in its first tenure in 1991, distributed ten state-owned, profit-making enterprises among its supporters, relatives and business partners of its leadership. He said that true to pattern, the government, in its second stint in power from 1997 to 1999, gifted six public sector enterprises among its political cronies through their privatization.
