LAHORE- Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has announced to observe Yaum-e-Shuhada (Day of Martyrs) on August 10 to pay tribute to those martyred in Model Town of Lahore in June and beginning of ‘Green Revolution’. The Leader of Pakistan’s Green Revolution, Dr Qadri announced this while addressing a General Council Meeting at Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) secretariat in presence other like-minded parties including PMLQ of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Ch Shujaat Hussain, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Sunni Itihad Council (SIC), Majlis-e-Wahdat ul Muslimin (MWM) and other parties today. read more...

Allama Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, has said that martyrs of Model Town were martyrs of MWM hence his party will largely participate in the Martyrs Day announced by Dr Tahir ul Qadri. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri announces August 10 as Martyrs’ Day

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that two cases are being simultaneously pursued against the rulers. He said that one case, which is the Lahore case, was about mass killing of 14 civilians and the intention to kill over 90 of them, whereas the second case, which is the Islamabad case, related to political, economic and social murder of 180 million people. He said that Qisas would be taken in response to the first case, whereas the second Islamabad case would be decided through revolution. He said that there would be ‘Chehlum’ of the martyrs on August 10. read more...

“Before the end of August, the incumbent leaders will not be in authority. They will be ousted,” claimed Dr. Qadri. “I am inviting each and every citizen of Pakistan in Youm-e-Shuhada gathering. LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday announced that his party will observe a 'Day of Martyrs' on August 10, to commemorate the lives lost in violent clashes that broke in Lahore's Model Town on June 17. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri announced to observe Martyrs’ Week from August 4 to August 9 throughout the country, adding that Martyrs’ Day would be observed on August 10 in Model Town. He said that everyone coming in to join the central ceremony of Martyrs’ Day should bring the Holy Quran, prayer mat and Tasbeeh with him/her. He gave his personal guarantee that the Martyrs’ Day would be peaceful.
