ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has said that the joint investigation team (JIT) in its report has declared Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the provincial government responsible for massacre of 14 workers including two women in Model Town. In an inflammatory speech in front of the Parliament House, he said that now the issue would not be simply resolved with the resignations of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the chief minister, but only with their hangings. read more...

PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that people's court will pass its verdict before killer-rulers go to Supreme Court for reversal of Lahore High Court’s order regarding registration of FIR against 21 accused. He said that Shahbaz Sharif kept sitting on report for 17 days in violation of people's Right to Information. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri gives 48-hour deadline for acceptance of demands

Giving 48-hour ultimatum to the government, PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has demanded that assemblies should be dissolved before expiry of his deadline, adding otherwise people will be free to make their own decisions. He said that there was only one shroud in which either he would be wrapped or rule of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would go. LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has upheld the order of a lower court regarding registration of an FIR against prime minister, Punjab chief minister and other federal and provincial ministers on a complaint of Minhajul Quran in Model Town shooting case. The sessions court in Lahore had issued a verdict on the petition filed by MuQ, ordering the provincial government to have the case registered on the complaint of Minhajul Quran against 21 persons. read more...

The report compiled by Justice Baqir Ali Najfi of the Lahore High Court (LHC) directly holds Punjab government responsible for ‘bloodbath’ in Model Town area.
