According to experts, the expired tear gas is poisonous and the chances of falling unconscious are very high. Police in Pakistan have named Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as a suspect in a murder case, officials say. He is among 21 possible defendants suspected of the killing of 14 demonstrators near Lahore in June. ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman and Awami Tehreek Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri appealed to protesters to remain peaceful. Addressing his supporters on Monday, Dr Qadri claimed that police have arrested 25,000 PAT workers. He said police resorted to shelling, adding that the protesters were peaceful. Clashes are continuing in Pakistan between police and protesters demanding the resignation of PM Nawaz Sharif. Police again fired tear gas as the demonstrators tried to regroup after a night of violence near Mr Sharif's residence in the capital, Islamabad. Two people died during the clashes and at least 300 were injured. Demonstrators loyal to opposition politician Imran Khan and cleric Tahirul Qadri have been taking part in a sit-in for two weeks. read more...
