PAT celebrates its 35th foundation day with traditional fervor
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) celebrated its 35th foundation day with great enthusiasm across the country. PAT leaders and workers cut cakes and held "Change the System" seminars. The leaders said that the current system is weakening the state of Pakistan with each passing day. This system has created hatred within the nation and is subjecting the people to a process of division.
PAT Central President Qazi Zahid Hussain, speaking at a prestigious ceremony in Karachi, said that Pakistan's future is linked to the supremacy of the constitution and law. When the law is equal for everyone, every individual will attain peace and satisfaction, he said.
Secretary-General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, while addressing ceremonies in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, said that Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has made the nation aware that if they want progress, they must rid themselves of this outdated system. The struggle of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, he said, is not for power but for the prosperity of the people and the supremacy of the constitution and law.
Mian Rehan Maqbool, Malik Karamat, Qazi Shafique, Tauqeer Awan, Qamar Abbas Dhul, Iftikhar Qureshi Advocate, KPK President Usman Hashim Khan, PAT Sindh Coordinator Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Dr. Jahangir Ahmed Abbasi in Hazara, Kamran Sohail Advocate, Muhammad Ismail Noor Zai in Balochistan, and Sardar Mansoor Ahmed Khan in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, spoke at various events held to mark the 35th foundation day. In their speeches, they said that PAT is an ideological party, and the peaceful struggle to change the system will continue.
They said that the parliament is not protecting public interests. Farmers, laborers, and lower-grade government employees are all distressed. This system, they maintained, is the guardian of the elite's interests, and the entire nation must unite to rid themselves of it.
At the central secretariat in Model Town, Lahore, a foundation-day ceremony was held under the aegis of Pakistan Awami Tehreek.
