PAT asks PM to worry about the jobs of millions of overseas Pakistanis

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that the government should focus on taking the corruption cases to their conclusion instead of showing bravado to brotherly Islamic countries. He said those who accept others' donations, alms, and Zakat should not use inflammatory and provocative language. He said the government should act upon the advice of settling matters amicably with Saudi Arabia given by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that instead of constructing 5 million new homes, Prime Minister Imran Khan should worry about protecting the jobs of 5 million overseas Pakistanis.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is the only leader who always talks in a manner that is in the interest of Pakistan and Islam by rising about superficial emotionalism. He is a staunch advocate of unity among the Islamic countries. He said some of the Islamic countries did not extend all-out support to Pakistan vis-a-vis India but still, Islamabad never adopted a policy of antagonism and opposition, stating that we should continue to maintain the same policy.

Talking to senior leaders and the members of the PAT Core Committee, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said Pakistanis in the range of 2.6 million in Saudi Arabia, 1.5 million in UAE, two lac in Amman, and 1 lac each in Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain are employed and send $9 billion of foreign remittances to the country every year. He said the facility of oil on deferred payment and loans is an additional support that KSA and UAE extend to Pakistan. He, however, added in the same breath that it does not mean that Pakistan should close its eyes on the prevailing situation in Palestine and occupied Kashmir. He said that Pakistan can continue to maintain its principled stand on Islamic causes. He said that hostilities with brotherly Islamic countries is not in the interest of Pakistan and its people.

The PAT Secretary General said it is correct that those responsible for the economic crises are the politicians who have been alternating each other in power. They are the ones who looted the country and bought foreign properties and palaces and that it is the people of Pakistan who are paying the price of corruption through their nose. He said the Prime Minister should request the honorable judges not to accept bails of the corrupt elements, for it is the humans who have rights, not the plunderers. He said that attention should be paid to recovering each penny from the corrupt politicians so that Pakistan could stand on their feet and espouse the causes involving the abuse of rights of Muslims independently.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said the slogans raised by those who live off on donations and foreign assistance do not find any traction. He said the corrupt elite that brought Pakistan to this situation should be held to account. He hoped that the visit of Army Chief General Bajwa will be successful in repairing the damage and bring our bilateral relations on track.
