Corruption & money laundering of Nawaz Sharif is like an open book: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

Talking to the senior leaders at the consultative meeting, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the decisions with reference to Nawaz Sharif’s corruption and his being called to the court in Model Town case should be handed down without any further delay. He said that linking corruption cases with pre-poll rigging is a notoriously conspiratorial narrative. He said that if the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh can go to jail on corruption charges, no hell will break loose if Nawaz Sharif is jailed. He asked as to why the Caretaker PM and the Election Commission are silent on the political use of the Governor’s Houses.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri further asked whether the participation of the heads of the constitutional offices in political parties will affect the environment of free and fair elections. He said that those involved in corruption, tax evasion and nominated in murder cases got a permission to run for elections. He said that qualifications prescribed under Articles 62 & 63 were neglected in the process of acceptance and scrutiny of the nomination papers. He demanded that the Caretaker Federal Government should immediately give a policy statement on the issue of alleged data leak at NADRA.

The PAT Chairman said that those who raised the slogan of ‘giving respect to vote’ distributed the tickets to the blue-eyed people for the reserved seats. He said that those of the party workers who were neglected should start a counter-campaign of giving respect to the workers against the political lords. He said that the people should hold to account those who made false promises of ending load-shedding, adding that it is the gifts of unemployment, corruption, economic meltdown, loans and depreciation of rupee that were given to the people by the political elite.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we would announce the next course of action in our meeting happening on June 23. He said that the whole Sharif family will go to jail due to massive corruption they indulged in and the Sharif brothers and their accomplices will face trial in the Model Town case. He said that we are waiting for the decision of the Lahore High Court for summoning Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif who are directly involved in the tragedy.

Dr Qadri said that Nawaz Sharif is the real owner of the London flats, whereas the foreign companies were established in the name of his children. He said that money laundering and corruption of Nawaz Sharif is like an open book and none can stop him from going to jail. He said that the money trail given in the form of the Qatari letter has been rejected and their destination is jail.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Noorullah Siddiqi and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
