Jail is the future home of former Prime Minister: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has asked as to whom the disqualified Nawaz Sharif, who was a stooge and puppet of dictator Zia-ul-Haq and conspired against the prime ministers, is trying to cheat by reading out a written speech. He said that Nawaz Sharif should know that time is up for him. Whatever he and his family has gone through so far is merely a beginning. The ultimate destination of the family that has looted Pakistan with both hands is jail. He said that this is not just the requirement of law but also the demand of the masses.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri stated this while talking to the PAT lawyers on telephone yesterday. He said that the imported narrative of corrupt and frustrated Nawaz Sharif is meant to create political anarchy with a view to safeguarding his family’s ill-gotten wealth and avoid punishment. He asked what kind of democracy and right to rule it is in which you fire at 100 innocent people, martyring 14 of them in Model Town in broad daylight. He said that the ousted Prime Minister has found out that the elections will be fair, free and transparent and his party would not be backed by their traditional supporters such as Patwaris this time round. ‘It is for this reason that he is cooking up excuses to run away from elections,’ he added.

Dr Qadri advised Nawaz Sharif to think of how to respond to questions around his loot and plunder instead of worrying about elections. He said that the national robbers should not waste the time of the nation on national issues. He said that what kind of respect of ballot it is when you run a campaign against the apex court in the garb of ‘respect to vote’ mantra. He said that a large number of the party stalwarts left the disqualified premier after his respect to vote drive, stating that others are waiting in the wings to abandon the party in droves after May 31.

The PAT Chairman said that one wonders to note as to why the judiciary looked the other way for last 30 years while the political elite went on a rampage of loot and plunder. He said had a timely notice of their transgression been taken the situation would not have come to this pass. He said that the net contribution of Nawaz Sharif to politics is to banish morality and democracy by indulging in loot and corruption. He said that the issuance of the notice to the so-called three-time prime minister by the judiciary is a matter of shame for him.
