Nawaz Sharif restless to leave the country before May 31: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Nawaz Sharif wants to flee the country before the completion of the term of the government and decision of the accountability court in the corruption references. He is weighing options to go abroad before his ruling party gets out of power by end May. He asked with what face Nawaz Sharif who threatened the movement of rebellion, could talk about dialogue with the state institutions? He advised the ousted PM to present money trail in the corruption references instead of using the party as a shield. He said that the ‘lion’ who hurled threats at the institutions is restless to become a ‘paper tiger’ these days. He said that negotiations do not happen with the looters and the blackmailers.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks while talking to the senior party leaders yesterday. He said that we want trial of the Sharif brothers in the Model Town case. He said that Nawaz Sharif, who is a criminal and responsible for the killings of the innocent people, does not deserve any moral, democratic and legal concession. He said that giving a concession to him would be akin to handing over a justification to those who declared war on the state. He warned that if the national criminals got any concession in the name of a dialogue, then it will be next to impossible to hold anyone accountable in this country.
The PAT Chairman said that the incompetent mafia tried to divide the army like judiciary in 1997 and even the threats to divulge secrets lying in bosoms were made with an intent to blackmail the institutions but none of their agendas could succeed, stating that Nawaz Sharif wants to leave the country before May 31 under any pretext.
Dr Qadri further said that the political parties are protesting the proposed privatization of PIA and the Steels Mills but public schools and hospitals are being sold in the name of outsourcing under the supervision of the Punjab Chief Minister. He said that bids are being made for the major hospitals such as Jinnah and Sir Ganga Ram, stating that once they are taken over by the private sector, the poor would not be able to get such free medicines as Panadol and Disprin. He asked as to why a chief executive who has been running metro bus project, orange line and 56 public sector companies is unable to run schools and hospitals?
