A new NRO will be great disservice to Pakistan: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that if the ousted and disqualified Nawaz Sharif can reach Pakistan by covering a distance of thousands of kilometers to become the head of the party, why cannot he come to Pakistan to face the corruption cases in the court of law? He asked as to why the same set of laws is being applied differently to differently people belonging to different provinces.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri made these remarks while addressing the meeting of PAT advisory council yesterday. He said that corrupt political elite wants to halt a progress on different corruption cases and for this purpose, various options are being considered. He said that the news of an NRO are being spread according to a carefully calibrated strategy. He warned that if a ‘laundry scheme’ for the corrupt and liars was introduced, it will be a great disservice to Pakistan. He said that it has to be seen as to who comes forward to save the skin of those who declared a war on the army and judiciary.
The PAT Chairman expressed his grave concern on the delaying tactics being used to delay the publication of Justice Najfi Commission report. He said that we knocked the door of the court but here the government lawyers whose bellies are stuffed with funds are using all tactics in their playbook to delay the proceedings on the intra-court appeal of the government. He said that these very tactics were applied to stop the dispensation of justice for last three and half years. He said that the family members of the martyrs appeal to the court for justice and their pleas should be headed instead of the oppressors. He said that mere change of system will not be enough, adding that the system that produces the corrupt, predators and looters will have to be changed.
