Why is disqualified PM afraid of appearing before NAB? Asks Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has asked as to why disqualified former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is afraid of appearing before the NAB that is manned by officers appointed by him. He said that he is getting a third chance to clarify his position and he should be benefitting from this opportunity and asking the NAB answers to questions he raised during his outing on GT Road.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri stated this while meeting the office holders of various wings of PAT here at the civil secretariat. He said that being someone who held the office of the PM for three times, Nawaz Sharif should appear before NAB in deference of the institutions and law. He said that the NAB has summoned the former premier on the orders of the apex court, adding that the conduct of a person is enough to help one gauge his respect for law, democracy and the constitution.
The PAT Chairman said that the corruption don has come into clutches of law for the first time and it is hoped that he will be held accountable for each looted penny. He said that we are hearing about the handing over of Volume 10 of the JIT report to NAB and wait for the time when the Justice Najfi Commission report becomes part of the private complaint filed by the heirs of the martyrs of Model Town tragedy so that justice is administered.
Meanwhile PAT Spokesperson has said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri will leave for the UK on August 21 to address international conferences which were already scheduled to be held in London and Manchester. He said that the PAT Chairman will return to Pakistan before Eid-ul-Azha. He further stated that Dr Qadri will also attend four-day Al-Haydiya camp in Manchester in which people belonging to all walks of life including youth associated with MQI and PAT will also participate.
