66th birthday of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri being celebrated today with simplicity
In view of the Sehwan Sharif tragedy, the 66th birthday celebrations of PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri are being celebrated with utmost simplicity across the world on Feb 19. The birthday celebrations have been turned into prayer ceremonies in which special Duas will be made for the martyrs and the injured of the terrorist incidents.
Addressing the central birthday ceremony held under the banner of Bazm-e-Qadria at the PAT secretariat, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, MQI President, said that the killers of humanity do not deserve any concession. They are open enemies of Islam and Pakistan. He said that those who love peace would have to get together against terrorism. He said that we would have to implement the NAP both in letter and spirit by discarding every kind of expediency so that terrorists could be crushed for good that shed the blood of innocent people every other day. He said that the rulers have committed the criminal acts of not extending the tenure of military courts, and partially implementing the NAP.
Shahzad Rasool, Sohail Raza, Haji Muhammad Ishaq, Sahibzada Iftikhar-ul-Hassan, Sheikh Aamir Rafi and other senior leaders of MQI were present on the occasion. Dua was made for the departed souls of martyrs of Sehwan Sharif and Lahore tragedy.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that extremism is cancerous both for Islam and Pakistan. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri took grave risks to his life when he exposed the poisonous ideology of a handful of hate-mongering people and blood thirsty people, adding that he performed the duty of protecting the Muslims and humanity from the risks posed by terrorism, extremism and radicalism. He said that Dr Qadri has opened new vistas of exploration and research by issuing his historic Fatwa against suicide bombing and terrorism. He asked every Pakistani to deeply study this Fatwa, which is the most authentic and academically sound work of the highest intellectual order.
A prestigious but simple ceremony was arranged at Bait-uz-Zahra, institution set up for the upbringing of the poor, orphan and helpless girls, which was attended by Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Dr Aslam Ghouri, Brig. ® Muhammad Iqbal, Col. (r ) Muhammad Ahmad, Noorullah Saddiqui, Adnan Javed, Mushtaq Ahmad, Abdur Rehman, Mudassrah Baloch and a large of female students.
Giving an introduction of Bait-uz-Zahra, Administrator Mudassrah Baloch said that this institution that has been established for welfare of the orphan girls represents a practical example of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s idea of a welfare state.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Dr Qadri is doing the welfare work for the poor and disadvantaged sections of society in such a way that their self-respect is not hurt. He said that he wants the establishment of such an egalitarian and a prosperous society in which the poor and underprivileged sections of society are helped not as a favor but as a matter of right. He said that existence of such institutions as Bait-uz-Zahra is a matter of pride for the humanity.
A cake was cut at the Farid-i-Millat Research Institute in which scholarly, and intellectual services of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri were praised. Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Rana Farooq, GM Malik, Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, Faizullah Baghdadi, Sanaullah, Abdus Sattar Minhajian, Imran Shoukat, Iqbal Chishti and others attended the celebrations.
Meanwhile, Minhaj Women League also hosted a birthday ceremony to celebrate the 66th birthday of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, which was presided over by Fiza Hussain Qadri. Famous writer Sheeba Taraz, actor Nishu Begum, Afnan Babur, Zainab Arshad, Ayesha Mubashar, and Farah Naz threw light on various aspects of life and work of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Speaking on the occasion, Farah Naz said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is one of the greatest people of this century. She said that he is a great ambassador of peace and love and it is for this reason that every word he speaks exudes love, peace and affection for the humanity without any discrimination of caste, creed and colur.
Ms. Sheeba Taraz said that the raging fires of terrorism and extremism will be cooled off with the peaceful ideology of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that over 1000 books, 600 recorded speeches, 600 schools and colleges, spread of MQI in over 100 countries and a chartered university are an irrefutable evidence to his passion for promotion of knowledge and education in the world.
Renowned actress Nishu Begum said that multiple services of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has enveloped the whole world in its fold. She said that works of Dr Qadri are a great asset for the Muslim world. She said that these services represent a great favour on the Muslims which will be remembered for centuries. She said that historic Fatwa authored by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has exposed the terrorists and their supporters and presented true face of Islam to the world.
Dua was made for the departed souls of martyrs of APS, Lahore, Sehwan and Model Town tragedies. The terrorist incidents were strongly condemned on the occasion.
