Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s message on 139th birthday of Allama Iqbal
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal inspired the Muslims of the sub-continent to break free of shackles of slavery and live a life of dignity and honour. He said that it is unfortunate that today’s Pakistan is burning in the fire of terrorism, extremism, corruption and injustice and a few families have made 190 million hostage in the garb of democracy.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views in his special message on the 139th birthday of poet-philosopher Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal.
Dr Qadri asked the Shaheens of Iqbal to play the same role to rid the country of the corruption kings that they played during the freedom struggle. He said that the Allama just did not present the idea of physical freedom but wanted the Muslims to become an honorable, self-respecting and sovereign nation and his philosophy of ‘Khudi’ is characterized by the same thought. He said that solution to all problems facing the nation lies in the teachings of Iqbal. He said that we were able to get freedom from geographical point of view but continue to remain at the mercy of others from economically. He said that we are not independent in our decisions, adding that riddance from the corruption mafia is necessary to make Pakistan the country of Iqbla’s ideals.
