Removal of Pervez Rasheed is a drama: PAT

While responding to the press conference of Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is on record as having stated that the sacking of Information Minister Pervez Rashid is a fraud and nothing will happen to anyone, adding that the press conference of Ch. Nisar also confirmed it. He said that the Prime Minister and his courtiers are behind the leak of news aimed at bringing the army into disrepute and the Interior Minister cannot mask the facts on the ground.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur asked Ch. Nisar to clarify whether his loyalty is towards Pakistan and its people or the corrupt Prime Minister. He said that the Sharif brothers are behind Panama leaks, news leak and the Model Town tragedy. He said that the news leak is an attack on the security of Pakistan and the whole of it happened at the PM House under his very nose. He said the Interior Minister was so naïve as to say that Pervez Rashid should have stopped the publication of the news. He said that not stopping the publication of new was not the crime but the real issue is the bringing of the Pakistan military into disrepute. He said that Ch. Nisar is trying to push the issue under the carpet which would not succeed. He said that time has come for the politics of ruling family to come to an end forever.

The PAT Secretary General said that the Interior Minister should not waste the time of the nation in his boring and drab press conferences, rather he should identify bring the culprits responsible for the leaks to account in line with the spirit of his oath. He said that the country does not earn a bad name due to public meetings and rallies but when the government indulges in corruption, kills innocent people through police, the women are disgraced on the roads and National Action Plan is foiled due to lack of sufficient action. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is right to say that the rulers would push the matter of national security under the carpet and all those like Pervez Rashid who have been removed in the name of investigation will be reinstated to their positions.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that if Ch. Nisar is loyal towards Pakistan and democracy, then he should advise the Prime Minister to step down till the investigation into the Panama issue is complete and play his role in the release of the Judicial Commission report on Model Town.
