No differences with Imran Khan: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the Model Town tragedy is the worst case of human rights violations and the state terrorism. He said that we would go to any extent to get justice in the case. He said that we would raise the issue at international forums including the UN Human Rights Council. He said that the rulers would have to answer for the killings in Model Town.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while talking to media men at his residence before his departure for London. Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Noorullah Siddiqui, Raja Zahid and other leaders were present on the occasion. He said that it has been two years but the families of the martyrs have not been given justice. He said that we have imposed the ban of going to Raiwind ourselves and this ban is not permanent. He said that for the time being we are not going there but if the justice was not provided, we would be free to take any decision. He said that we would announce the second round of the Qisas movement soon. He said that we are not disappointed with the national institutions but have made enough of appeals.
Dr Qadri said that the resort to the European Union is part of the strategy to get justice. He said that the start of the investigation into the Panama leaks and anti-corruption initiative should take place with the ruling family. He said that this is the shared demand of the political parties, people and civil society organizations. He said that we cannot become an honorable nation with the stains of corruption and human rights violations. He said that as long as the present rulers stay in power, the list of damage to the country will continue to get long.
The PAT Chairman Said that PTI is an independent political party and they have a right to take the decision of their political direction. He said that he has no differences with Imran Khan and all such news about it are part of the propaganda. He said that we have shared destination of corruption-free Pakistan. He said that historic rallies and public meetings were held in 175 countries during the first round of the Qisas movement. He said that our political opponents have known that our workers have neither got tired nor disappointed and their commitment to get justice remains strong as ever.
