All set for Qisas Movement to begin today: PAT
PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that all arrangements for the political movement starting today have been completed. He said that the workers and leaders of all political parties that signed the communique of national consultative meeting on July 31 including PTI, PML-Q, MWM, Sunni Ittehad Council, and JUP will attend the demonstration. He said that there is complete agreement among political forces about justice for the Model Town victims and demand for accountability of the ruling family.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur expressed these views while addressing a PAT preparatory meeting yesterday. He said that the Qisas and Accountability movements would reach their logical end because the rulers are not left with any card to fool the people anymore. He said that the Panama leaks have exposed their reality and time for accountability has come.
The PAT Secretary General said that the PAT workers have displayed their political power in a mammoth public meeting at Minar-e-Pakistan on December 22, 2012, sit-in of January 2013, Inqilab March of August 2014 and 70-day long sit-in and the sit-in of June 17, 2016 on The Mall, adding that their enthusiasm is exemplary and they are ready to offer sacrifice for the sake of their rights. He informed that he would lead the protest demonstration in Lahore, and the one being held in Islamabad Aabpara chowk will be led by Khawaja Amir Fareed Koreja.
He said that multiple protest demonstrations and sit-in will be organized from Martyrs’ Mosque to the Assembly Hall in Lahore, Aabpara chowk in Islamabad, from station chowk to Kachehri bazar in Faisalabad, from Mazar-i-Quaid to Tibbet chowk in Karachi, and from Lorry Adda to Sialkoti gate in Gujranwala. He said that PAT’s political movement will get underway from 2 pm today.
