PAT (Faisalabad) takes out rally against money laundering, corruption
PAT Faisalabad chapter took out a rally to protest mega corruption scandal, non-provision of justice in Model Town case and money laundering. The demonstration, which was held in district council chowk, was attended by a large number of men and women. They chanted slogans and demanded of the PM to resign in the wake of the Panama leaks.
PAT Chief Organizer Major (r) Muhammad Saeed led the rally, whereas Mian Kashif Mahmood, Rana Rub Nawaz Anjum, Rana Tahir Saleem, Mian Abdul Qadir, Mian Rehan Maqbool, Syed Shahid Ali, Aziz-ul-Hassan Awan, Muzammil Ali Jutt, Rana Nisar Shahzad, Mian Zahoor, Muhammad Shahzad, Asif Aziz, Muhammad Farooq and others were also among the prominent guests.
Addressing the rally, Major (r) Muhammad Saeed said that the Panama leaks have exposed the reality of our rulers. He said that the Panama papers are no joke but an internationally accepted reality, which cannot be rejected. He said that the PM has lost the moral basis to continue in his office, adding that we demand of him to resign and offer himself for accountability. He said that fair and transparent investigations are not possible if the PM continues in his office.
The Chief Organizer said that the PAT wants fair, transparent investigation into the Panama leaks within the stipulated time. He said that the present rulers are expert in formation of JIT and commissions, adding that they hold inquiries to get clean chit. He said that PAT has started the campaign for resignation of the PM which will continue.
He said that the worst atrocity was committed in Model Town wherein innocent people were martyred. He said that we would continue to demand justice until it is provided. He said that there is a manifest discrepancy in what the rulers say and act. He asked them to prove that they are not corrupt. He asked as to why the report on the Model Town tragedy was not released, adding that they want to hide every report.
