Minhaj Education Society launches Farid-e-Millat Scholarships Awards
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has congratulated the Minhaj Education Society (MES) on the launch of the Farid-e-Millat Scholarship Awards of worth Rs. One million, to be distributed among the students, scoring first, second and third positions in the examinations. In his message of felicitations, he said that provision of inexpensive, accessible and quality education is the vision and mission of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
A special ceremony was held in connection the award of the Farid-e-Millat Scholarships with Sahibzada Faiz Mahmood Faizi, MD of MES in the chair. The students who got first, second and third positions were appreciated for their commendable performance.
Addressing the ceremony, Faiz Mahmood Faizi said that the Minhaj Education Society is the biggest welfare organization in the private sector for provision of cheap, affordable, quality education. He said that more than 1.5 lacs students are getting education in 630 schools which employ ten thousand teachers for imparting education. He said that the distinguishing characteristic of schools under the MES is that about 40% students get free of cost education in these schools, adding that no private sector education network imparts free of cost education to such a large number of students in the country. He said that the young generation needs character building in addition to modern-day education so that they can distinguish between right and wrong and are able to protect themselves from evil influence of terrorism and extremism.
The ceremony was attended by Nasir Iqbal Advocate, Javed Iqbal Qadri, Rashid Kalami, Farooq Awan, Saifullah Bhatti, Ali Waqar Qadri and Ateeq-ur-Rehman.
