Pakistan needs leader, not politicians: Dr Hussain Qadri addresses Local Government Convention in Faisalabad
PAT Faisalabad chapter organized its Local Government Convention in District Bar Council Faisalabad on Monday. President of MQI Federal Council Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was the guest of honour on the occasion, whereas PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur was present on special invitation. The distinguished guests who attended the event included Ch. Basharat Aziz Jaspal, Engr. Muhammad Rafique Najam, Mian Rehan Maqbool, Syed Hidayat Rasool Shah, Rana Tahir Saleem, Mian Kashif, Rana Rab Nawaz, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Allama Aziz-ul-Hassan Awan, Shahid Salim, Rana Waheed Shahzad, Zain-ul-Abideen, newly elected chairmen of various union councils of PAT namely Mian Kashif, Rana Abdur Raoof, Haji Naeem Bhatti, Ch. Nasir Numberdar, Ch. Haq Nawaz Wahala, Mian Farooq, Ch. Abdul Hayee, Sheikh Ijaz, Ch. Ashfaq Numberdar in addition to large number of councilors.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri congratulated the elected chairmen, vice chairmen and councilors on their electoral victory. He said that we would continue our struggle via both routes of revolution and elections. He said that the day is not far when reign of darkness and oppression will come to an end, and justice and rule of law will prevail. He said that the thought and political philosophy of Dr Qadri will be all pervasive. He said that Pakistan needs leader, not politicians.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that whatever Dr Qadri had said regarding ills of electoral system have proven to be true. He said that the PAT Chairman was spot on when he said that the current electoral system cannot get our country anywhere, a fact which is being testified to today by anchors, thinking politicians, intelligentsia, and intellectuals. He said that unless corrupt system is sent packing duly replaced by a delivering system, the poor can never get their smiles back on their faces.
Expressing their views, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Ch. Rafique Najam and Basharat Jaspal said that PAT is the representative party of the poor, farming community, and workers from Karachi to Khyber. They said that the PAT has given courage to the downtrodden sections of society to stand up for their rights. They said that PAT is going to launch ‘Zarb-e-Aman’ campaign in support of the Operation Zarb-e-Azb of Pakistan armed forces. They held that hundreds of thousands of people will be prepared intellectually against terrorism and extremism through this campaign.
Rana Tahir Saleem, President of PAT Faisalabad, presented performance report regarding PAT’s showing in LG polls. A special Dua was made for martrys of APS and Model Town tragedy.
