Transaction tax should be withdrawn: Maj (r ) Muhammad Saeed

PAT Chief Coordinator Major (r ) Muhammad Saeed Rajpoot has said that the rulers are harassing the trading community on the dictates of IMF. He said that traders are right to demand abolition of transaction tax. He said that threat to launch civil disobedience movement is worrisome. He said that the rulers who came into power with the funds of the industrialists should stop the exploitation of the small traders. He said that PAT will support the traders in their protest campaign.

Maj (r ) Muhammad Saeed expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Awami Taajir Ittehad at the central secretariat yesterday. He said that the policies of the PML-N protect the interests of the big business, feudal lords and industrialists whereas small traders are adversely affected. He asked the rulers to let go of their ego and fulfill rights of the traders. He said that by imposing unilateral taxation, the rulers are pushing the traders against the wall. He demanded that transaction tax should be withdrawn forthwith.
