Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri arrives in Pakistan
LAHORE: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri arrives in Lahore, Pakistan on Monday morning (today) after a gap of seven months. He was received by large number of his supporters and activist at Allama Iqbal International Airport.
Qadri arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore at 8:00 am where his workers were ready to welcome him. PAT chief had already rejected the Punjab Policy security who offered eight Elite Forces vehicles to guard Qadri, so his party workers escorted him under high security to his residence in Model Town.
Officials of PAT has claimed that over 4,000 activist and workers were outside the airport to welcome their leader. Qadri arrives at his residence in a rally that stopped at six points on: Bhatta Chowk, Ghazi Road, Qainchi Amar Sadhu, Kot Lakhpat, Akbar Chowk, and Faisal Town.
PAT Supreme Council Chairman and elder son of Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri Hassan Mohiyuddinn Qadri on Sunday already cleared that Qadri will be in Pakistan on June 29, 2015. While departing from London where he was for launching of his “Peace Curriculum to Counter Terrorism” Qadri said, “I’ll continue to fulfill my commitment until last breath and said that today my departure for Pakistan is enough to dismiss widespread rumors that I might not return.”
