Delegation of PAT Balochistan visits central secretariat, meets Secretary General
A delegation of PAT Balochistan led by Zahoor Ahmad Khan Khosa, central vice president, called on PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur in his office the other day. The matters relating to political situation and reorganization of the party came under discussion in the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Zahoor Ahmad Khosa said that Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch may send as many plans of development to the federal government as he likes but it is his responsibility to check corruption in the province. He said that the CM Balochistan is not able to stop corrupt practices, adding that a minister in his cabinet embezzled Rs. 230 million of Jafarabad Zakat Committee. He said that 500 cheques were issued to one person and this mega embezzlement is on record. He said that the CM Balochistan should send this case to NAB, situation will become clear.
Khosa said that the ministers and government officers are involved in ‘Bhatta khori’. He said that more unfortunate part was that none other than the elite of Balochistan was the major hurdle in the way of development and prosperity of people of Balochistan. He said that no contractor can construct even a small thing without paying money to terrorist groups, adding that these activities continue to take place under the very nose of the Balochistan government. He said that Dr Abdul Malik should concentrate on doing his job and fulfilling the responsibilities associated with it before asking the federal government for support. He said that the Balochistan government exists in papers.
Speaking on the occasion, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur welcomed the PAT delegation. He said that Balochistan is an important province of Pakistan. He said that peace in Balochistan is inevitable for peace and stability of Pakistan. He said that there is no doubt about the fact that the people of Balochistan have deprivations, adding that it is the prime responsibility of the provincial government to address their complaints.
