Elections for PAT Central Punjab Zone completed
LAHORE: [18-04-15] The election process of the Central Punjab Zone of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek has been completed and Basharat Jaspal was elected as the President and Mushtaq Nonari advocate as the General Secretary.
PAT members from Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala and Sahiwal Divisions took part in the elections for the Punjab office bearers. The PAT president Dr. Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi, Secretary Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Sajid Bhatti and other office bearers greeted the newly elected members of the Central Punjab section of Pakistan Awami Tehreek.
Now the process for electing office bearers for the Upper Punjab including Rawalpindi Division has been started. President, Secretary and other office bearers will be elected. The Chairman of PAT Dr. Tahirul Qadri has divided all the three provinces, Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, into three zones while Balochistan has been divided into four zones and separate elections will be held for each zone. Each zone will have a separate secretariat. This has been done as part of the devolution plan of the PAT Chairman.
Other who have been elected in the Cenrtal Punjab Zone are Malik Basit Mehmood, Asif Sulehria, Habibullah Butt, Qari Mazhar Fareed, Syed Shahid Shah, Rehan Maqbool and Ch Mazhar Diwana.
