PAT intra-party elections to throw up popular leadership: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
The PAT Central Working Council met here today at the central secretariat with Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri in the chair. At the outset of the meeting, the participants offered Fateha for the late mother of the Army Chief, martyrs of Shikarpur and Hayatabad Peshawar tragedies. A special Dua was also made for early recovery and long life of PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
The meeting was attended by Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, GM Malik, Brig (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Syed Amjad Shah, Razia Naveed, Shoaib Tahir, Irfan Yousaf, Hafiz Ghulam Farid, Mian Sajid Pervez, Qazi Faiz ul Islam, Muhammad Noorullah and other provincial and central leaders.
Addressing the CWC meeting, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the Model Town tragedy represents the height of state terrorism and patience, peacefulness and courage demonstrated by the PAT workers. He said that the great martyrs of PAT have sent out a strong message for revolution with their blood, adding that every drop of their blood will be avenged through law of the land. He said that the rulers are political face of the terrorists.
The Chairman of the Supreme Council demanded that the report of the Model Town judicial tribunal should be made public to bring facts of the tragedy to the fore and meet the ends of justice. He said that the killer-rulers cannot save their rule by shedding blood of the innocent people. He said that revolution is set to come and when it comes, the palaces of the rulers would not be spared, adding that looters would not get any shelter either in London or Saudi Arabia and they would go to jail.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the PAT workers have chronicled a new chapter in the history of peaceful political struggle by offering the ultimate sacrifice of their lives. He said that specks of blood of Model Town tragedy will only be washed away when the culprits will face the justice. He said that those arrested and injured during the revolution will be given medals and memorial shields as a token of appreciation.
He said that no other political party has such courageous workers as PAT, adding that they are even more determined than before. He said that we would continue political and legal battle to make the victims get justice till the last breath of our lives. He said that the government has died its political death, adding that the assemblies would not be graveyard of living men after the revolution. He said that people having understanding and competence will sit in these legislatures who would represent the aspirations of the electorate over and above their political affiliations.
Speaking on intra-party elections, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that organizers will be appointed at the district level with a mandate to spearhead membership campaign and oversee conduct of elections. He said that popular leadership having broad support among the masses should be elected. He said that instead of taking punitive actions against loud speakers, religious speakers and Imams, the government will be well advised to tighten the noose around the necks of terrorists and bust their gangs, adding that it has not taken any step with regard to registration of religious seminaries and stoppage of the foreign funding for them so far.
