Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri will leave for the US today for treatment
PAT chief Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will leave for the United States today at 9:35 a.m. for treatment. American doctor of Pakistani origin, M.M. Mansoor, will accompany him during his air travel. Dr Qadri will land in Houston via Dubai on board Emirates Flight EK 625. According to PAT Secretary General, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, the PAT leader would leave his residence for the airport at 5 a.m.
It is pertinent to mention here that the decision to send Dr Qadri abroad for treatment has been taken on the basis of doctors’ strong recommendation. A panel of five doctors examined Dr Qadri thoroughly yesterday and concluded that any further delay in treatment will worsen the health complications. After final and conclusive report of doctors came, emergency arrangements were made for Dr Qadri’s travel to the US and treatment there.
According to the PAT Secretary General, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri felt a chest pain during his recent organizational visit to the US. The doctors recommended angiography and admission in hospital during the check-up. But Dr Qadri refused to be admitted saying that he had given his word and commitment to his workers and people about his return and insisted that he would go back home in every case and address public meetings and sit-in according to schedule. However, during his stay in Bhakar, Dr Qadri felt an intense pain on his chest and despite first medical aid, his pain could not be overcome and his blood pressure could not stabilize as well despite repeated efforts.
At this, his Pakistani-American doctor, M.M. Mansoor, was called from the US in emergency. After detailed examination, he recommended Dr Qadri’s immediate treatment abroad because his medical reports were not satisfactory.
Meanwhile, PAT leaders Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri have appealed to the nation, workers and well-wishers to pray for recovery of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. They said that after treatment, Dr Qadri would be among his workers and lead the caravan of revolution to its final destination.
According to PAT spokesperson, Dr Qadri is suffering from a disease called ‘Ejection Fraction’ and he would return to Pakistan after his treatment. He again rejected news about the government’s offer regarding provision of air ambulance to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
