Lahore starts to get festive look ahead of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s arrival
The people of Lahore have begun to decorate the city to extend historic welcome to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on his arrival in Pakistan on the 23rd of December. Initially, the people have set up 100 reception camps across the city with big portraits of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri hung there. The people are taking extraordinary interest in these camps. Huge banners with slogans of change in the system are also set up in the city.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Federal Council, visited different camps of the city along with Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Irshad Ahmad Tahir and Hafizullah Javed.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the 23rd of December would replace darkness with light as people would come to know as to how the resources of 180 million people were concentrated in a few hands. He said that time had come to restore people’s rights. He said that the solution to the country’s economic problems lay in the economy philosophy of Islam.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the arrival of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri would give the message to the nation that the option of change through peaceful means had not been exhausted. He said that everyone would know as to who was savior of Pakistan.
He said that the people of the city would decorate Lahore for reception of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in a manner never witnessed in the past. He asked the people to become vigilant and take care of their collective interests. He said that those nations that do not rise against system of oppression, slavery become their destiny as this has been historic pattern.
He said that current electoral system provided means to imposed civilian autocracy. He however made it clear that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri was not coming back to take part in politics.
