PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has announced to challenge, in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Lahore High Court’s decision of not summoning the Sharif brothers. He said that there are far stronger grounds for summoning the Sharif brothers than those on which the police officers were ordered to present themselves before the anti-terrorism court, and that these solid grounds are already on record. read more...

In a hearing of Model Town case in the anti-terrorism court yesterday, Nazim Awan Advocate, one of the lawyers representing the accused police officials, slapped Mohsin Rasool, an eye-witness of the tragedy and threatened of dire consequences. Tariq Aziz, SSP Discipline, admitted during the cross-examination that PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur indeed showed him the order of the Lahore High Court regarding the barriers that were placed on the orders of the court. A delegation of PAT led by Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur visited the memorial places built up in the memory of the martyrs of the war of 1965 in Batapur, Mannawan, and Jallo Morr. They laid the floral wreath on behalf of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and prayed for peace, progress and stability of the country.
