Mian Anjum Nisar says alliance will secure a clean sweep; Shahzad Ahmed Khan pledges to make business community’s concerns a top priority

Awami Tajir Ittehad hosted a dinner at the Posh Lounge on Ferozepur Road in honour of the Corporate Class candidates of the PIAF Progressive BNF Alliance contesting the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections. The event was hosted by Corporate Class candidate Shahzad Ahmed Khan (Serial No. 23).
Patron-in-Chief of PIAF and Chairman of the alliance Mian Anjum Nisar said the alliance would secure a clean sweep in the elections. He said what he described as negative campaigning by opponents indicated their lack of confidence, adding that his group had served the business community with sincerity and dedication. He urged opponents to compete on the basis of their programmes rather than resorting to allegations, saying that the alliance sought support on the basis of its performance and service to the business community.
Secretary General of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Khurram Nawaz Gandapur attended the event as the chief guest and addressed the participants. The large presence of business leaders, industrialists and alliance candidates turned the gathering into a prominent campaign event ahead of the LCCI elections.
