Constitutional supremacy and the rule of law are the only path to Pakistan’s progress, says PAT secretary general
Deviation from Quaid-e-Azam’s vision is contributing to the country’s growing problems
Young generation must be acquainted with Jinnah’s struggle and principles: PAT Secretary General

Secretary General of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, in his message on the death anniversary of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, said that Jinnah gave the Muslims of the subcontinent a clear direction, an organized struggle, and the great objective of achieving an independent homeland.
He said Quaid-e-Azam’s political wisdom, adherence to principles, integrity, and commitment to the Constitution and the rule of law continue to serve as a guiding light for Pakistan.
Mr. Gandapur said the Quaid had envisioned a Pakistan where the Constitution and law would reign supreme, citizens would enjoy their fundamental rights, and the state would protect the life, property, dignity and honour of every citizen without discrimination. He said the country’s deviation from Quaid-e-Azam’s vision was contributing to an increase in the problems confronting Pakistan.
He said Quaid-e-Azam had placed particular emphasis on national unity, discipline and character-building. Today, Pakistan needs political and economic stability, merit, transparency, tolerance and national cohesion more than ever. He termed it a national responsibility to acquaint the younger generation with the life, struggle and principles of Quaid-e-Azam.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said Pakistan’s path to progress lies in constitutional supremacy, the rule of law, promotion of education, provision of justice and strengthening of national institutions. The Quaid’s sayings, he added, must not be confined merely to ceremonies and textbooks; rather, they must be practically implemented in the country’s state and national life.
He said that the struggle and sincerity of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had led to the emergence of a powerful Islamic country on the world map. He urged young people to study Jinnah’s political thought deeply and critically.
The PAT Secretary General said the death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam provides an opportunity to renew the pledge that the people of Pakistan will play their role in transforming the country into a strong, prosperous, just and welfare-oriented state in accordance with Jinnah’s vision and principles.
He also prayed for the elevation of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s spiritual status and for the safety, progress, prosperity and well-being of the country and its people.
