On the occasion of the 37th Foundation Day of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), the central and provincial leadership congratulated party workers and reaffirmed their commitment to establishing a welfare-oriented, democratic, and constitutional Pakistan. The leaders emphasized the need for national development, economic stability, agricultural and industrial growth, educational reforms, and transparent governance.
They stated that the 37-year journey of Pakistan Awami Tehreek represents continuous efforts for public awareness, constitutional struggle, and national welfare.
Central President Qazi Zahid Hussain, while congratulating workers on the Foundation Day, said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek envisions a Pakistan where the state protects the weaker segments of society, institutions remain subordinate to the Constitution, and governance truly symbolizes public service. He added that the movement’s struggle is not for the acquisition of power, but for the establishment of a just, democratic, and welfare-based society.
Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that agriculture is the foundation of Pakistan’s economy, and the importance of modern agricultural technology, research, and farmer-friendly policies has increased more than ever before. He stated that agricultural reforms, impartial accountability, transparent governance, and fair distribution of resources are the guarantees of national prosperity and sustainable stability.
Senior Vice President Mian Rehan Maqbool said that the energy sector forms the basis of industrial development, economic stability, and national sovereignty. He added that a permanent solution to the energy crisis is only possible through transparent governance, effective reforms, and the supremacy of law and the Constitution.
Vice President Raja Zahid Mahmood said that the textile sector is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy and a source of livelihood for millions of families. Therefore, promoting exports and the textile industry must remain among national priorities. He further stated that Pakistan Awami Tehreek will continue its struggle for workers’ rights and industrial development.
Vice President Mian Zahid Islam said that scientific advancement, artificial intelligence, and the digital revolution have given the world a new direction. Therefore, providing young people access to modern education, technology, digital skills, and research opportunities is a national necessity.
Central Information Secretary and Spokesperson Noorullah Siddiqui said that in view of the growing population, urban challenges, and administrative complexities, the country requires new administrative units, a strong local government system, and modern administrative reforms. He added that political and social stability cannot be achieved without public trust.
On this occasion, Central Deputy Secretary General Mian Kashif Mahmood, Secretary Coordination Sardar Umar Daraz Khan Sihar, President Central Punjab Asif Salharia, General Secretary Abdul Hameed Mustafvi, Lahore President Malik Ahmad Akhwan Awan, Saqib Bhatti, and other leaders also congratulated the workers and stated that the 37-year journey of Pakistan Awami Tehreek is a bright story of sacrifice, patience, awareness, and continuous struggle for public rights.
They reiterated their resolve that the movement will continue its struggle for a Pakistan based on the principles of the Constitution, democracy, transparent governance, social justice, and public welfare.
