Crises in Pakistan are not accidental — they are manufactured: Khurram Nawaz Gandapur
A wheat crisis is being created to justify the import of 2 to 3 million tons of wheat
Why has wheat production fallen short of the target? A judicial inquiry should be conducted
It appears the Agriculture Department is working on an agenda to reduce production, says PAT Secretary General

Secretary General of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, stated that crises in Pakistan do not occur naturally — they are deliberately created. He questioned why wheat production had failed to meet its target and demanded a judicial inquiry into the matter. He said that agricultural bureaucrats, who receive billions in salaries and privileges, have delivered zero performance, and that a wheat crisis is being engineered to justify the import of 2 to 3 million tons of wheat.
He further remarked that it appears thousands of employees, officers, and agricultural researchers within the Agriculture Department are effectively working on an agenda to reduce agricultural output. He urged those in power to fear God and stop pushing 250 million people deeper into hunger, poverty, and darkness.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said agriculture is the backbone of the economy, and the destruction of the agricultural sector has impacted everyone — from neighborhood shopkeepers to major commercial institutions. He warned that unless improvements are made, Pakistan’s dependence on humiliating IMF loans will continue to grow.
He also demanded a judicial inquiry to determine the factors responsible for the failure to achieve the wheat production target.
