Congratulations on stopping the war; now reduce petrol prices: Khurram Nawaz Gandapur
The increase in petroleum product prices in Pakistan should be reversed.
The crisis was not as severe as the rise in petroleum prices, says the Secretary General of PAT.
The government must take the basic needs of 250 million people seriously.

Secretary General of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, has said that the state of Pakistan deserves congratulations for successfully halting the war and for its effective diplomacy. Now, petrol prices should be restored to their previous levels, he demanded.
In his statement, he said that the two brotherly Islamic countries in the region, which are among the largest suppliers of petroleum products, are very pleased with Pakistan’s diplomacy and special cooperation. However, he questioned why millions of low-income citizens in Pakistan have not yet benefited from the positive outcomes of this success.
He added that slogans celebrating successful diplomacy cannot fill the stomachs of poor Pakistanis. Now that routes have reopened and global petroleum prices are declining, old prices should immediately be reinstated in Pakistan.
He further said that those in power must realize that the common man is barely managing to survive. The global crisis was not as severe as the increase in petroleum prices suggests, raising the question of whether a justification was deliberately sought for immediate price hikes.
He demanded that petrol prices be immediately brought back to 250 rupees per liter. He also noted that not only petrol is expensive, but electricity and gas are also scarce. The government must take the fundamental needs of 250 million citizens seriously.
