Dialogue and negotiations are the best means to resolve conflicts: Secretary General of PAT
The Secretary General of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, has praised Pakistan’s role in facilitating a ceasefire between the United States and Iran and hosting negotiations in Islamabad.
In his statement, he said that this diplomatic achievement has undoubtedly elevated Pakistan’s stature on the global stage. He termed it encouraging that global superpowers and conflicting parties have expressed confidence in Pakistan’s reconciliatory role, and said the state of Pakistan deserves special congratulations.
He further expressed hope and prayers for the success of the negotiations, wishing that the ceasefire would lead to a permanent cessation of hostilities. He emphasized that wars are not a solution to conflicts, and the recent ceasefire has demonstrated that dialogue and negotiations are the most effective way to resolve disputes.
He added that the state of Pakistan should also play its role in uniting the Muslim world. At present, the Muslim Ummah is divided and facing aggression, and this fragmentation has caused irreparable damage to its collective defense capabilities. He concluded that unity within the Muslim world is essential not only for its own strength but also for global peace.
